Frames and Fillers Block 14

The frame that I stitched for this week is simple and very adjustable to suit a wide range of spaces, you could use this frame to outline a particular part of the fabric (think fussy cutting using quilting!) and just stitch the outside area.  You could change the size of the inside frame to be bigger or smaller, add more echos... lots of ideas here!

So this was the sketch of the frame this week.

Simple but highly effective, remember to use this as inspiration and add your own twist to any and all of these designs!  I did this series to help inspire myself and you!  Sometimes I look back at my quilt and get inspired to use some of what I've done here on my other quilts.  We have to push our boundaries to grow and for me, this has been a great challenge for that.

Spoiler Alert.....

The spinning wheel was kind this week giving us Daisy and Mixed Pebble (my all-time favourite flexible filler).   I love mixed pebble, as most people know by now, but I think it would look great if someone were to incorporate a couple of daisies into the mix one day!  I am totally going to be doing that in the future.

I enjoyed this block and am feeling the inspiration! If you aren't watching the videos I would encourage you to do so as it can be really helpful to see how the designs are built and it helps me to keep creating free content.

Have a great week, and get stitching!

Sam
