Quilting Frames and Fillers - Block 12
Aug 21, 2024So, it was 12 weeks ago that I started this series. And I made a fairly big mistake that I didn't notice until I went to go edit the video... This is a repeat frame! We all make mistakes! So in case you were wondering why I look a little crazy in this photo... 🤣🥴🤭
Here is a photo of the sketch, that I came up with twice... 😆
The funny part is that I did actually draw it twice, and planned the placement twice. Yet it took me three months to see it!
Spoiler Alert...
This week the spinny wheel was working against me yet again. The two designs that came up were Paisly and Echo Leaf. Both of these designs get an echo, and they are similar shapes. I suppose we can't win them all.
What are your thoughts on Paisley? I love this design and although it is a classic design I believe it can hold its own on a modern quilt. It is a beautiful shape and can be stitched in a nice clean fashion that fits my aesthetic.
Echo Leaves is another beautiful design that is clean and crisp looking. It can fit into so many quilts and really adds that great puffy texture that you also get with paisley. The echo is probably the most important part of this design so don't skip it!
Thanks so much for watching and reading!
