Quilting Frames and Fillers - Block 10

Well after last week's debacle, I was excited about this week's new frame!  I really like the simplicity of it and that you can use any curved ruler to achieve this look.  Watch the video now on YouTube

Rainbow Quilt Top Instructions

So this was the original sketch for this block, but if you watch the video you can see that I decided to switch it up and make the oval shapes complete, instead of leaving the center open.  This is a fun shape that could look different if you used a curved ruler of different depths. 

This is what the frame came out looking like, I used my Quilted Pineapple #15.

Spoiler Alert...

So last week I was pretty disappointed with the outcome of the filler designs (how did I get three that looked the same!).  Unfortunately, this week wasn't a whole lot better!  The cursed spinny wheel's designs were Matrix and Wavy Lines, both line-based and directional (basically what we needed last week).  But I do as the wheel dictates. 

I am sad that the designs don't have enough contrast again but I really like the Martix design and I think I'll use it in a couple of upcoming places.  I originally saw this design done by Leah Day:
